The Story of Pācina
“My family has been in Pācina for five generations: my father and mother came before me, my grandfather and grandmother before that, my great-grandfather and great-grandmother before that, and my great-great-grandparents before that. Women and men: stories that intertwine. Before me, the protagonist of the Pācina bottle was undoubtedly my mother Lucia. It was thanks to her that the first bottle of sulfur-free Pācina was produced in 1987, the forerunner of the wine Stefano and I make today. Lucia, a biologist and writer who always believed in the strength of this land, taught me to let go and instinctively follow the rhythms of nature. The thread that unites the intertwining of these stories is precisely the love for this place. Pācina was a place where respect for nature always came first. My father Enzo, who sadly is no longer with us, was an environmentalist and much more. The first Legambiente meetings were held in Pācina's garden, and he was the promoter and co-founder of the movement. Thanks to him, I grew up among intellectuals, scientists, farmers... it was easy for me, as an adult, to understand that farming, making wine, is first and foremost about respecting what surrounds us.”
